Dr Fergus Adams

Fergus is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who will always go the extra mile for his patients.  He is passionate about women’s health and believes that effective team based care produces the best results.

Fergus also works as a Consultant at Christchurch Women’s Hospital, where he has a role as an advanced laparoscopic surgeon and obstetrician. Having trained in Christchurch, he has developed an excellent rapport with many local General Practitioners and LMC midwives. His particular areas of special interest are minimally invasive surgery, endometriosis and colposcopy.

Outside of work, Fergus is married with two children. He loves playing sports and spending time with his family on his lifestyle block.

Lisa also works as a Consultant at Christchurch Women’s Hospital as a general gynaecologist and obstetrician. She undertook her training in Christchurch and has a special interest in the management of urinary incontinence and prolapse, the medical and surgical management of pelvic pain, menstrual problems and endometriosis. Lisa is experienced in high risk obstetrics and enjoys also being part of the Femina Baby team working with women and their midwives to provide tailored care throughout pregnancy and birth.

Outside of work Lisa’s two children keep her busy along with time keeping active.

Hayley is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist offering comprehensive gynaecology and antenatal care. Her excellent communication allows her to develop strong therapeutic relationships with patients and their whanau.

Hayley has completed a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and Pelvic Floor Surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. She also works as a Consultant at Christchurch Women’s Hospital as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a focus on pelvic floor gynaecology. Hayley has a special interest in endometriosis and adolescent gynaecology, birth injury repair and pelvic floor surgery. She understands the importance of a holistic approach and working closely within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. Hayley also offers general gynaecology services including colposcopy and minimally invasive surgery.

Away from work Hayley focuses on quality time with her young family, enjoys exercise and is passionate about music.

Ben is an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist committed to providing the highest quality of care for his patients. With a special interest in the prevention and treatment of birth trauma, he achieves the best possible birthing experience through trust and developing a therapeutic relationship with women and their LMC midwife.

Ben is also a dedicated surgeon, who treats a wide range of gynaecological problems including menstrual disorders (heavy and painful periods), post-menopausal bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, polyps, abnormal cervical smears, and vulval skin conditions. He has a particular interest in minimal access surgery including total laparoscopic hysterectomy, the laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis, ovarian cystectomy, and hysteroscopy. Ben also offers surgery for correction of vaginal prolapse.

Ben is also a Te Whatu Ora specialist working across Christchurch Women’s Hospital and the West Coast. Outside of work, Ben loves spending time with his wife and two young children in the outdoors, and playing music in a local session.

Dr Jen Lyon

Jen is a dedicated generalist obstetrician and gynaecologist. She takes a person-centred approach and takes the time to ensure you are heard and your concerns acknowledged, before guiding you through shared decision making. She has an interest in colposcopy and hysteroscopy, as well as minimally-invasive surgery.

Jen welcomes everyone. She is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, rainbow-community friendly and she is guided by HAES principles. Her goal is to provide more than just optimal medical and surgical care: safe, non-judgmental care for every person and their whanau. As an obstetrician, she loves walking alongside whanau in their journeys towards birth and beyond.

Outside of work, Jen loves spending time in nature with her young family and golden retriever.
